Pandemic Influenza Planning: The Reality of Implementation in the Southeast

Presenters included experts from the Georgia Division of Public Health, the University of Utah, the CDC, sanofi pasteur Inc, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Emory University, and the Tennessee Department of Health. Southeastern state epidemiologists and other key pandemic influenza planners gathered to hear up-to-the-moment information and to identify and discuss critical unresolved planning issues.

Objectives:

  1. Share pertinent scientific information
  2. Explore similarities and differences between state plans
  3. Identify and discuss unresolved high priority issues
  4. Identify and discuss issues that may be unique to the Southeastern Region
